September is here!

Joy joy joy joy, here you come to us! Ah, it's the first day of September which apparently means D-Day is 55 days away from us! Yeah, I am talking about India's biggest film ever starring the biggest actor of this world, Shah Rukh Khan!

In the past few days, Shah Rukh teased us with Chammak Challo then eventually T-Series folks gifted us with the best Eid gift ever, an extended promo of Chammak Challo. So far, I'm in Chammak Challo mania.

In the past couple of weeks, I have also bullied Anubhav Sinha, the director of Ra.One to give us a promo. Had a fun time interacting with him on Facebook.

Just today, made a plan to watch Asoka on Sept. 26th in honor of Shah Rukh and Kareena. Why Sept 26th? To welcome exactly a month to the release of Ra.One. Because in October, we'll forget the past and look forward to the future with super eager eyes!

Add to the whole excitement of Ra.One on Oct. 26th, we'll also get a second trailer of Don 2 which would THEN be 58 days away!

For now, I am watching Chammak Challo nonstop! Have already watched it over 200 times now!

Enjoy this excitement. :)

An action packed end of 2011

This photo is dedicated to SRK haters, whose condition will become something like this due to jealousy...

So guys, the news is Shah Rukh has been made the ambassador of Champions League T20! If you don't know yet, our team (yes, I call it ours, because Shah Rukh is ours too!) has to play two qualifying matches against New Zealand's team Auckland and the runners-up of Friends Life T20 County Cricket of England (their tournament is still going on). Here's hoping and praying that KKR successfully defeats the two teams! The two games are on Sept. 19th and 21st.

Will later post my thoughts on the players in our squad.

But before that, we'll be in Ra.One mania with a short and sweet Chammak Challo promo releasing in 6 days from now and the whole music launch on Sept. 12th which will be aired on Sunday, Sept. 18th on Star Plus!

So from 28th of August onwards, Shah Rukh will be soon all over the place! He's also planned a 36 city tour till the release of Ra.One but to be honest, the man's knees have been troubling him and I so don't want him to travel so much!

Then on Oct. 25th, the premiere of Ra.One in London. What a day it will be because it also happens to Shah Rukh's and Gauri's wedding anniversary! By now, we'll have plenty of critic reviews to kill us. :)

Oct. 26th, D-Day! Ra.One releases world wide in 3,000 screens! Here's hoping my local Palladio is one of them if Eros will be nice enough. By then, hopefully I'll have my driver's license and have already made up my mind which version I'll watch first, 3-D or 2-D??

Nov. 2nd, Shah Rukh's birthday. The way he looks now, I must say age should be count backwards! He's becoming younger and younger!

In between this time, we'll have Don 2 promotion in full swing although dual promotions are expected, meaning Don 2 and Ra.One to be promoted together from September.

Dec. 23rd, Don will be back in full action and this time we'll be a part of the chase with Roma! Because Don 2 will be in 3-D as well...again I must make up my mind on which version to watch first!

So that's the schedule for 2011. Mine will be far more action packed, a quite busy one as I have classes and also will try 100% to fulfill my dream of driving to the theater to watch Ra.One and Don 2!

To-da-loo!

Those luscious lips...

Ah, we are down to the lips of Shah Rukh...these lips never hesitate to kiss anyone...no no no, not Emraan Hashmi style but the Shah Rukh style!

You know what? I don't know what to write for these lips...the pictures say it all. Don't you wanna be kissed by these lips? I do! Right on my forehead or the dimples I formed inspired by Shah Rukh.

These lips mostly touch coffee cups and cigarettes...a lot of girls wish they could be either! :D

By the way, I won't include my views on his dimples, that deserves a whole separate post! But I'll sign off this post by dedicating a few lines of the song "I love you, you love me" from the movie Yeh Dillagi to King Khan!

Hothon pe bas tera naam hain
Tujhe chahana mera kaam
Tere pyaar mein pagal hoon mein subha ho shaam
Janam I love you, you love me...

A rose for a nose

Early into Shah Rukh's career, people always thought he had a nose too long for him to be a hero. Yeah, even a man's nose can become a barrier between him and stardom, according to people back then!

I truly wonder what they'd want Shah Rukh to do with his nose, make it smaller?? Anyway, I'm quite thankful that Shah Rukh has this nose because I so love it when this nose touches another nose of a heroine, latest example being in the Don 2 trailer! Such a heart-skipping moment!

Call me crazy or a nutcase but I'd like to touch his nose once. I want to know, is it soft? Is it smooth? Ok, I'll keep quiet now :p

This nose is one of the reasons why Shah Rukh is so handsome! MashAllah!

Shah Rukh is not the #1 actor

Past couple of weeks, we all must of have read many articles on the topic of Shah Rukh being no longer the number #1 actor in India. True, yep, that's true. Can you count how long it had been since Shah Rukh's last release? One year and nearly 6 months now. Currently, he is not #1 BUT speaking of all-time, nobody can take 1st place besides Shah Rukh.

Number games are popular in Bollywood. We all know that, right? That's why some people are asking if Shah Rukh has really lost his ROLE NUMBER in the class of Bollywood. Some say Shah Rukh has strong competition from his seniors, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. Well, I had read this one article recently which is the source of inspiration for this blog post. It was written by Joginder Tuteja , titled "Reflections - Why so negative?"

The article talked about how people have been acting lately regarding Shah Rukh and his position in Bollywood. He also mentioned the way all these talk would settle down, and they are: Ra.One and Don 2.

I know I have said this quite a few times and will say it again. Don't get angry if you read articles or watch videos which pass a negative feeling to any SRK fan, keep your head cool, don't get into arguments. Because my friend, speaking is not enough. In today's world, nobody remembers the past, the present is more important. If you keep giving examples of how hit OSO, MNIK or any other movie was, it won't make any difference.

So how can you fight back? Watch Don 2 and Ra.One when they release. Watch both of them as much as you can. Let's make them the biggest hits of India! Let's break all records! And let's never compare the two with each other!!

You see, Shah Rukh earned the #1 position because we watch his movies to heart's content. This time, let us go out and watch these two movies to heart's content AND to shut those idiots who have been insulting our King!

So tell me, are you going to watch both Don 2 and Ra.One???

Shah Rukh's Eyes

"Naino ki chal hain, makhmali haal hain...Rab ki nemat hain teri nigaahein, jisme basti hain uske duayein, aise naino ke baatho mein koi kyun na aaye...tere naina tere naina"-Song Tere Naina, MNIK.

Yes, there are Allah's blessings in those eyes of Shah Rukh. These are the eyes that do most of the work for Shah Rukh. These eyes can express a lot without saying a single word. Whether it's the expression of anger, love, care, style, hatred, jealousy, disgust, eagerness, or trust...these eyes say them all.

Shah Rukh's "S" shaped eye brows also add a touch of beauty to his glorious eyes!

My dream is to get a glimpse of these eyes. According to people, I'm shy to make eye contact. It's just that I don't feel comfortable because nobody's eyes are as beautiful as Shah Rukh's.

I know I won't be able to make eye contact with Shah Rukh either but I so want to see those eyes with my own!!!

KANK and Dev

In 2006, Kabhi Alvida Kehna Naa came out and what came with it was people's questions and anger. Questions like how could Karan make such a movie, how can Shah Rukh do a character like Dev, how can Amitabh Bachchan do a character like Sam a.k.a Samarjit, etc. And to show this anger, people torn posters of the film, specifically of Shah Rukh and I think protested as well.

That was 5 years ago from today, 2011. Today, films like Dev D, Life in a Metro, Thank You and much more earn people's compliments and claps. All these films I mentioned had a similar topic: infidelity.

KANK, the short form of the title, is the breakthrough Bollywood film and the reason why Bollywood have more bolder movies nowadays.

KANK is a story of Dev, Rhea, Rishi and Maya. Since this blog is about Shah Rukh, I will write about Shah Rukh's character, Dev.

Dev has characteristics of a typical male HUMAN who is pretty much jealous of his wife, Rhea's success, frustrated to live a life with partial disability and has a job to teach soccer to students who simply don't keep the passion for soccer like the coach himself. He also has a rude kind of sense of humor. There are many people like him in this world but those who don't suffer the same easily criticize people like Dev. Trust the person who have said, "it's easier said than done."

Now, let's talk about Shah Rukh. Dev is the opposite of Shah Rukh himself. I feel it was very brave of Shah Rukh to do such a role but to be honest, it was far more realistic and coniving than his "best works" as Mohan of Swades, Kabir of CDI or Amar of Dil Se. The reason why I say this is because most people hate Dev. How could we hate Dev? All thanks to the brilliance of Shah Rukh. In spite of playing a character that is opposite of what he is in real life, he outstandingly got into the shoes of Dev.

In most of Shah Rukh's films, you'll get to see a lot of the real Shah Rukh, meaning a lot of characteristics of him in real life has some similarity to the roles he plays on screen. But to me, I feel Dev is like 5% of Shah Rukh.

Anyway, KANK did an incredible business overseas, still people say it was a flop. Well, the definition of a flop in a movie industry is when the costs to make the film is higher than what it earns in its lifetime at screens. Umm...KANK's production cost was like $11 million USD and it earned $25 million USD...so it made a revenue of $14 million USD, how is it a flop? If you don't like the movie and consider it a flop, that's not the right word my friend, the right phase is "I don't like it."

My family were skeptical on watching KANK, they didn't want to take me along because they had read reviews which said KANK had bold scenes. But I watched it and I guess I was old enough to understand what is a bold scene. To me, bold scenes include the following: lip-lock kiss, intimacy scenes, nudity, etc.

So tell me where were the bold scenes? I so don't consider the hotel scene a bold one. It just had a hint of intimacy. Yes, later on and before that, there were dialogues that were not very appropriate for kids. But look at Omkara and the movies releasing nowadays? Many have sex scenes, a few kissing ones, most have a lot of beeping going on.

I think KANK was one of the best movies Shah Rukh has ever starred in, a very nice narrative! It's just that, the timing of its release wasn't right, if it were to release now, it would have received a lot of positive response.
