Incomplete.

I think I am great with my words so I felt compelled to write this unnecessary and LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG post. Let's get this rolling… grab some popcorn too! :D Oh and did I tell you this is gonna be long? Perhaps the longest post ever in this blog O_O

I will head back to summer even though I hate summer. It was a hot sunny day when I woke up in the Chinese time zone to hear that OMG OMG OMG S.R. of K. is coming to San Jose! Like he is gonna spend hours breathing my air, walking my footsteps, etc once again after 5 long eons...years. I get all pumped up that hahahaha THIS time I'm gonna meet my Indian idol! :D

It is said that in true love, happiness is hard to get by but I also believe in trying. So, given the awkward situation I was in, I still did not give up deep in my heart. My heart. MERA DIL. I hunt down one of the local organizers on facebook to engage in a cool casual conversation and he said that near the end of July, they would sell tickets to those who contact the organizers but will get billed for them in August. I was like...cool then. I thought and thought about it then I asked the organizer if I can have that special link where I can book the concert tickets. Tic tic one. Tic tic two. Ooh! August and the tickets I was eying are sold! :D Annnnd still no reply to my cute request. Saale kuttiye haramzade...now go dance with your 1% commission of all ticket sales.

Okay...I'm still soaring here and there, there and here...what to do? Fine, let's plan for greeting at the airport. I tell my European mother about my plan...she speaks about trying my luck at the airport AND hotel. I forgot that they would be staying somewhere: P Okay but how to figure out which hotel they'll be at out of the dozen hotels in San Jose?

As time passed, a couple of contests came up. My same time zone Canadian sweetheart kept pushing me all this time to enter the contests or buy the tickets...like JUST EFFING GO TO THE CONCERT GODAMMIT. She was well about to book a ticket for me and she had no knowledge about my wish to actually book tickets. Thank God she didn't book it. Because concerts, movies...they are no fun to watch alone. In addition, my family are big fans of SRK. They were fans of him from day one! So I was firm that if I were to go to the concert, I would not go alone. Thanks to the ridiculous pricing of the seats, my hopes begin to distinguish.

Even airport/hotel plans seemed to fade away because I didn't know anything about it. But it took me the wisdom of another Canadian darling, to point me to a right person. Canadians ki jai ho, even that right person turned out to be Canadian LOL. Daanish. I'd like to call him my happiness insurance for 28th September. So anyway, I contacted the insurance and he happily told me about the hotel and assured me that he would share the details of the team's arrival. I told my insurance that I would welcome him when he arrived in San Francisco but I could not :(

That day brought upon a whole family of butterflies in my tummy. Would it really for real happen? I could get to see him? Then I began searching for gifts for King and also the Queen of Bollywood whom I affectionately consider my lawful wife. :P I call my Team R (which consist of my European mother, Arab genius, the Canadian sweethearts, Moroccan firecrackers and New Yorker homie) to a meeting in search of advice because (1) They are MUCH more mature than I am. (2) Most of them have met SRK before. Enough said. I have a great team.

The week passes as I enjoy an exam in the middle of the week, work on future projects and collect the gifts as they arrive in the mail. Presentation is necessary, as taught by my Arab genius so I put in some effort to prepare the bits of my love that I look forward to give on Sunday.

Here comes Saturday! As my western Canadian sweetheart meets SRK after waiting forever and attends the concert in her city, I take on the devil down south that is trying its best to stop me from peacefully looking forward to the next day. Almost meeting an accident wasn't enough that my ridiculous nervousness almost wrecked havoc at a gas station where I was about to drive off with the gas pipe still in my car. It would have been a nice Hollywood style action scene if I had drove off. Anyway, a couple of mandatory printouts and last minute shopping later, the day comes to an end. Here is Sunday.

I welcome Sunday by preparing the gifts and packing them in my bag! :D But I cannot sleep; the HNY twitterwaale can start running the contest for San Jose concert tickets anytime. And my nervousness resulted in me dropping my laptop from the bed to the floor. But agar kisi cheez ko shidhat se chaho, toh it never leaves you. My laptop didn't leave my life either! So then I continued worrying...the team might land anytime. That day made my hatred for having no knowledge stronger. There were mini quakes so I end up getting just 3 hours of sleep and being wide awake at 7 in the morning. I notice that HNY people have already posted the question so I start tweeting them why I want to get slammed. My Arab genius and Canadian sweethearts keep my motivation going and going. After a while, it becomes too much for me to keep my eyes open so I go for a nap. When I wake up, I read that the team is finally on their way to SJ. O.M.G. But that didn't mess me up...seeing my twitter friends from around the world endorsing me as an deserved winner to the HNY people messed me up. I had tears in my eyes and I hadn't felt so happy seeing that much love in a long time. I love you all very much.

Then at 2:20 pm I get out of the house with my elder sister and mother to go to the hotel as I noticed airports are tough to catch them at. We arrive at the Marriott Hotel at 2:45 pm. I meet an RCE wala before entering the hotel, who was half asleep, I told him welcome to the bay area and he mumbles something. Then I enter the hotel to hear people that SRK entered the hotel through back door just a while back. Congo to him. I tell my lovely offline team R (my sister and mother) to go have a seat faaaaar at the back. Because the hotel was buzzing with annoying people who did not know how to shut up. Then I sit down at the center of the lobby, searching for familiar faces. I check twitter and my Arab genius sent me a message that the organizers need 10 females to volunteer as soon as possible. But an hour had passed after she made her request so I can be sure, the spaces are filled up by then.

Here comes my insurance! Daanish! I call out for him and remind him about our facebook conversations. He informs me that SRK is resting in his room and that he will come down at 4-4:30. I'm like ok. As I was literally starving the whole day, I go to the Starbucks for a good laugh...I mean drink. Their menu was hilarious but I loved going through the souvenirs. I buy a few postcards (like doh) a shot glass and an iced coffee. Apparently, the cashier forgot to charge for the shot glass as I noticed on the receipt the next day LOL.

I spend the hour chatting on twitter and facebook. I report my sherlock holmsing results to my friends. I saw Malaika's luggage, one blindingly red suitcase, an ugly pink suitcase and a Louis Vuitton black small suitcase. I wonder when she even wore so many clothes...they were the only triplet luggage that had the name boldly written. If I had a permanent marker with me...you can understand what I would have done. There were tons of luggages but I could only see the SLAM tags. I also noticed two other trolleys, one with bouquets and gifts then another with loads of chips and drinks. I saw Raaj (SRK's hairstylist) walking around in the lobby wearing a pink jacket. He didn't impress me at all; he looked like a gunda, ready to demolish the Marriott. So I ignored him. My insurance man Daanish comes and informs me that SRK is having lunch. Kha le puttar kha le.

Vivaan Shah walks in and talks to some moron looking dude. So I go and wave at him rather than clicking his picture just like that. After waving back to me (he totally waved at me Shanti style from OSO LOL) he runs off to the elevator. I also noticed a man wearing a very ugly shirt who felt like he might be close to SRK but I was hesitant. We smiled at each other. I was happy that finally I found someone who reciprocated my smile!! He used the lobby phone to call a room but I couldn't hear what he said. But I ignored him because I was not fully sure. Then I went on twitter and found Daanish's picture from a few hours back...just to FINALLY recognize the guy wearing the ugly shirt was none other than SUBHASH. SR of K's personal assistant. What a moron...I am.

After hitting my forehead for my mistake, I got the sweet urge to use the restroom in between so I go and hear inside, the Don Title song playing. Kutte kaminey hotelwaale!!! They played his song in the freaking bathroom!!!!!! I get out of the restroom like I'm Bill Gates and I have no time for anyone, just to see what a bad false alarm it turned out to be. So I forget all about the restroom...until I hear commotion outside and see someone with a huge head wearing a giant bubble jacket. I run there and notice Boman Irani sitting in his car waiting for God knows what. When he looked at me, I gestured him that I have a book for him. :D

I went to Boman, gave him the book. Told him that it is a token of appreciation because he was so gracious to my dear friends the past day and past week. Then he smiles wide and shakes hands with me and kisses my hand as well. I kiss him back and tell him that I love him a lot. I took a photo of him. I didn't go for a selfie because the car he was in, was very high and my whole face might not have fit in the photo. He's one damn sweet man. He is too sweet to portray the role of Vardhaan :P

Then I head back in the hotel and chill out. My sister tries to take my photo and a Morani brother behind me thinks he's the object of the camera frame LOL. I met a pregnant woman and her DSLR wala husband who were waiting for SRK too, they inform me that Abhishek left via back door (as if I care). They are actually the only people with whom I spoke at length the entire day. Now I wanna tell you something. Most of these guys are shorties. I had the typical imagination of them being very tall. Man, I felt like I was 6 ft tall walking around them. -_- Chalo...short is cool. More commotion followed, even a-girl-holding-her-chest scenario I witnessed. Yaar Sonu, you also have fans I guess.

Sonu Sood the large attitude waaley walked out of the hotel like King Kong. He gave no damn to the people around him wanting to take photos with him. I wasn't so interested in catching Sonu but Daanish made me run with him to Sonu for a photo. But apparently my dil ki baat translated into some hilarious photos. As I told my friend, that I am not the touchy type of person, the photos also represented the same idea. It looked like I was the main celebrity and he was either my bodyguard or fan. :P I was also worried that Daanish would steal my brand new phone so I didn't take my eyes off my phone :P But thank you Sonu for heeding to Daanish's request who was...eager...to...take...my photo with...you. o_O

I see Subhash ji lurking around the lobby again. This time main nahi chhodongi!!! So I approach him and ask him in Hindi if his name is Subhash. He innocently says yes. Then I ask him if he can help me out by delivering the gifts I had for SRK. As I hand him the gifts, I describe the contents of each package. Then I ask him if he can get SRK to sign my huge postcard which had two purposes. (1) To be 100% confirmed that SRK received the gifts. (2) To make him smile. Because I already had his autograph from before: P Subhash agrees and says that he will try to get the autograph for me before SRK departs or after the show. I say okay that's fine but "aap yaad rakhoge mujhe na?"...if he will remember me...he says yes and goes off with the gifts. I keep an eye on him just so he doesn't throw the gifts away -_- This guy walks up near me, screaming at the poor hotel staff (non-Hindi speaking btw...just like in movies) that where on earth is Deepika's luggage?! I was like kya yaar...tsk tsk tsk.

After 10 mins or so, we fans start lining up by the entrance because the rest of the stars are about to go to the venue. Everyone eagerly waiting for SRK. I hold my phone up above everyone's heads, ready to capture some Bollywood heat. First up, Malaika Pencil Figure Khan, wearing a leather jacket. I very passionately yell out "WHO CARES" as she passes by, catching a glimpse of us through the corners of her eyes. Then everyone murmurs "Oh my God, she is so skinny!!" and I think to myself, "She needed the most security because if someone bumped into her, bechari would end up in the hospital." :P Then up next, Vivaan Shah. I captured!! His photo I mean. But fuzzy one because these people walk as fast as Super Mario does. Then I see a whole bunch of unknown people walk past us, trying to steal SRK's thunder. :@

My hero of the day, Subhash ji walks past us, and he finds me in the crowd to gesture that the gifts have been delivered and also that he has not forgotten me :D :D I give him a thumbs up and then we chalo because SRK left through the back door :( On the other hand, HNY Twitterwaale did not pick a winner for the contest at all. No idea why but that made me very sad. :( I was the winner...

I get out with my offline team R to go have food finally. Then we decide that we should gift SRK something else too, like a book. So after eating, we go shopping for a book. I spend an hour hunting for that one good book that I believe his library lacks. Found it then I go home. Take shower, breaaaathe, and praaay. Because I may still see him.

Midnight we are back to the hotel. All day I thought that there wouldn't be a huge crowd at the hotel after the show. How wrong I was...it was buzzing with people who were overly dressed with horrific makeup. I can tell you that time must had progressed to Oct 31st...Aka Halloween. Ehm...anyway, seeing the horror inside, I decide to go somewhere isolated. I feel sorry to have left my offline team R in midst of the chaotic atmosphere. But I had to look out for SRK and Subhash. So I find a spot at the staircase next to...guess who? The DSLR hubby! :D I ask him how the show was and he tells me that it wasn't thaaaaaat good. Then I shut up and just look at the entrance. I was on my phone looking through my twitter timeline when I hear people cheering. OMG who was it? I asked the DSLR hubby and he said it was the couple who won the motorcycle at the concert. I was like bleh. Then unknown faces dressed crazily walk in and I don't give a shit about it. I see the police officers slowly moving to the prized back door. They spoke of the party that had already begun upstairs.

Then I leave the staircase, head outside and stand there for the next 1.5 hours. That hour and a half was like a graph, up and down...up and down. I initiated a twitter drama for SRK, tweeting him songs that best fit my condition at that given time. I tried my best to make the situation humorous for both my followers and I...it did help ease my nerves. The night started getting cold but no sign of Mr. Khan. Each black car that stopped in front of me only broke my heart and I stood watching some 30 cars stopping, dropping off people. Then came Subhash. But I still stood outside...I thought I should give him some time to wind down first. My sister called me after a while saying Subhash is in the lobby. So I went inside, told him I had few more gifts for SRK, handed the book with flower and a trinket. He told me to come back in the morning to collect my autograph because the postcard was with the makeup man...let us please imagine the dimples filled with face powder for a moment. ^_^

I can never thank Subhash enough for the kindness he bestowed on me. So in order to show how grateful I was to him, I gifted him a cute coffee mug that shown landmarks of San Francisco. I saw him many times throughout the day but had never seen him grin. After I handed him the gift, saying "aapke liye"...I saw that grin of his. It made me feel nice. Then I asked him if SRK would be coming through the front, he said he doesn't know. So I thank him for his efforts and tell him that I'll be here until however long necessary. Then a black car came by. It was apparently Malaika. Again...who cares? But with her, I understood that this is it. I won't see him. Because Malaika's driver got out of the drop off area and took a U-Turn at the intersection prior to the hotel's entrance. But we still stood there in hopes of seeing SRK. Subhash had us waiting all for a little more because he was getting my autograph from the makeup artist. Then he barged out of the hotel very fast, again gesturing me to come to the side. Then he handed me the poster, I saw the autograph and I nearly fainted right there. Seeing my expression, he gave me a thumbs up but disappeared really fast before I could spill a word out of my mouth. I went back in the crowd to show the poster to my offline team R. A girl in front of me heard me all excited and gave me a very jealous look hahahaha. At that very moment, Daanish comes to tell us all that SLAM team have already arrived via the holy back door and that we should get back home now. As I started walking back to the parking garage, I saw Karim Morani pull up in a RV with a bunch of awkward looking people drinking champagne in public. He smiled at me because I was in awe of his weirdness. Party over. Now jeet ke harne wale ko kya kehte hai? I was so close yet so far.

I get home, feeling numb. Then I talk it out with my friends. They tell me that I stand a chance in a few hours when SLAM team would head to Google office in Mountain View then to Twitter HQ in San Francisco. I also got up at 11 am after sleeping at 6 am. But my mother strictly disallowed me to go to San Francisco because the roads are a headache and I don’t really know my way around. But I convince her to come along with me to the airport, given their flight was in 3 hours. But then my dad wasn’t aware of my planning so he…left for his blood test. Now even though there were 2 other cars, parking is hard to come by in the community I live in. So I didn’t risk it and it was too late anyway. So this is how it all went for me.

The gifts I delivered now…are contributed by lots of people. First thank you NY homie for trusting me that I would be able to deliver your card and Ayatul Al Kursi locket. Thank you my Eastern Canadian sweetheart and my Arab genius for granting me the honor to present SRK a lovely cravat on behalf of you both and the note as well. Thank you Dr. Jaya for giving me the opportunity to deliver the world famous SRK characters over the years chart. Thank you NY Homie and Western Canadian sweetheart for having those lovely experiences with Boman, which led me to gift him the book, on behalf of you both. Thank you to my sisters for showing faith in me with the lovely Islamic trinket. And lastly, thank you to everyone else who sent in their wishes for SRK so he could read them and feel all your love from one piece of card-stock. I am delighted to have lived up to everyone’s hopes. As for me, I personally gifted him a book with a flower from my mother, the playgirl magazine and small cologne. :D

'Indiawaale' English Translation

Ho....maane ya koi maane na
Yahaan apni bhi thodi ada thoda andaaz hai!

Whether or not anyone agrees
Even we have a little bit of our own style and little bit of uniqueness here!

Aise hain, chahe waise hain
Arre jo bhi hain jaise hain
Khud pe humein naaz hain!

We're like this or we're like that,
However we are,
We're proud of it!
Jaane na humko yeh zamaana
Chaho toh humko aazmana

This world doesn't know us
If you want, you can try us

Hum yaarbaaz
Hum jaalsaaz
Hum ishqbaaz
Dilwale!

We friendsters
We fraudsters
We lovesters
The hearted ones!

Kehte hain humko pyaar se Indiawaale
Choo lete dil ke taar se hum Indiawaale
Har jeet cheen le haar se hum Indiawaale
Dushman ke chakke chuda de hum Indiawaale (x2)

We are affectionately called Indiawaale
We, Indiawaale touch upon the strings of heart
We, Indiawaale steal a win from a loss
We, Indiawaale beat the f**k out of enemies

Yuh toh seedhe bade
Kabhi chahe toh haathon se lete lakeerein chura!

Usually we're quite the simpletons
But if we want, we'll steal the lines from the palms of hands!

Humko parwah nahi
Jo bhi kehta hai kehne de jag ye bhala yar bura!

We don't care
About what others say, good or bad!

Jaisi bhi marzi ho humari
Karte hai aisi hoshiari!

However we want it
That's how clever we act!

Par dil se yaar
Jo le pukar
Toh jaan nisar
Kar daale!

But when a friend
Calls out from heart
Then we will
Sacrifice our lives

We are affectionately called Indiawaale
We, Indiawaale touch upon the strings of heart
We, Indiawaale steal a win from a loss
We, Indiawaale beat the f**k out of enemies
We, Indiawaale can make everyone dance on our tunes

Aankhon ki,
Aankhon ki chabi se, thoda betaabi se,
chupke se khole dillon ke taale

Of the eyes...
The keys of the eyes, with a little anxiousness,
Quietly open the lock of heart

Jaan de de..
Usko jahan de de..
Apna imaan de de..
Jiski bhi baahein..
Gale mein daale hum..

Give him life..
Give him the world..
Give him our faith..
We hug anyone..
With open arms..

Duniya se humko kya le jaana
Yaaron ke dil mein ho thikana

What are we to take from this world
As long as friends give space to us in their hearts

Humein ek baar hota hain pyar
Yeh lakh baar kehla le

We fall in love once
Make us say it a million times

Kehte hain humko pyaar se Indiawaale
Choo lete dil ke taar se hum Indiawaale
Har jeet cheen le haar se hum Indiawaale
Dushman ke chakke chuda de hum Indiawaale

We are affectionately called Indiawaale
We, Indiawaale touch upon the strings of heart
We, Indiawaale steal a win from a loss
We, Indiawaale beat the f**k out of enemies

Dushman ke chakke chida de...
Ungli pe sabko nacha de....
Dushman ke chakke chuda de hum Indiawaale!!!

Beating the f**k out of enemies...
Making everyone dance to the tunes...
We, Indiawaale beat the f**k out of enemies!!!!!!!

Hiyo Part Two - 3rd Anniversary Special

"Diary of a Shah Rukh Khan Fan" turns 3 today. I am pretty proud to have kept this blog going since nowadays the shortness and quickness of twitter and facebook overpower the charm of long written devotional articles about celebrities. Yeah, don't laugh at me...I know I also don't write a lot of long articles but hey...I try my best. :D

I started this blog for no reason whatsoever, there was no purpose behind it. I didn't write very well too but then having had a couple of successful blogs and websites before that were based on other topics, I guess I must have thought that I should start writing about Shah Rukh as well. But let me tell you one thing, it is actually one of the toughest topics to base a blog on. Yeah, writing about him can be real tricky, given the fact that I am not into fan-girling. But then this is not a fully devotional fan blog, neither have I gone off the track and talked about someone else besides Shah Rukh. I am glad to have kept a balance.

While reviewing all my blog posts, I noticed that I ranted a lot about controversies. I'm glad that I had this blog to convey how angry I was during those tough times because I was extremely frustrated and appalled by all the unwanted comments that Shah Rukh had to bear.

I reviewed every release he has had from 2011 till now. Then I also reviewed Kal Ho Na Ho, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan and Chak De! India. Going by statistics, my Jab Tak Hai Jaan review was the most popular, getting 275 views, as of today.

Just so you know I retired as Shah Rukh's mother the day I started working on Playgirl. Every mother loves to praise their sons but seriously what I did was a billion notches above that...maybe lower that. You decide and let me know. I think Playgirl is one of the things I'll always be proud to have created and I can't wait to fully start working on the second edition.

I regret that even in 3 years, I have not written 100 blog posts...yeah this is just my 92nd. Well I'm not even sure if I would call some of my older posts actual legit blog posts. You can buy the excuse that I used to be very excited and angry before, now I am a whole lot quieter and calm. There have been plenty of things worth talking about but I chose not to. Not because I consider myself any less of a true SRK fan but because good things take time *cough*. Please don't buy this excuse, it is more because my vocabulary is not so broad so I feel whatever I try to say, might sound repetitive. Yeah, this is my space and I can write whatever I like but you know what? I love having to struggle to find words to describe how I am feeling rather than having someone else express it on behalf of me. Then I feel that...oh it's already said. I am a bundle of issues :D

Nevertheless I had my own moments offline which have left me speechless at some points. Like I started to wear this custom made SRK locket back in 2012 so I had lots of strangers asking me about him hehehehe.

Music shop representative: "Is this your husband?"

Denny's cashier: "Who is this handsome man?"

Classmate: "Is that your boyfriend?"

Classmate #2: "Who is that guy?"

Pharmacy cashier: "Is that Charlie Sheen?"

Store cashier: "Is this Charlie Sheen?"

Freaked out Store cashier: "That is Shah Rukh Khan? I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. OH MY GOD"

Post office: "You fan of Shah Rukh Khan?" I say yes "You watched Chennai Express?" Yes 4 times. "*LOL*"

Store cashier #2: "Where are you from? I see Shah Rukh Khan!!"

Store cashier #3: "Arre you put my photo on your locket?? Ooh that's Shah Rukh Khan"

Recently I have not been wearing it because I lost the locket in the photo above. I actually own 3 of them. :D It has been a good tactic of making more people know him though. I am happy to have done that much apart from feeling very happy wearing him around my neck. And I always took him off when I went to take showers. I have that much shame left. LOL

On twitter, I had tons of memorable experiences like SRK replying me some odd 7 times and even retweeting me. It has been more competitive to get a reply from him so I have not received any reply for two years almost. But it is okay...others deserve a chance too, especially my friends. Except they don't tweet to him a lot.

The best memory is this reply on a video chat for Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Gooooooosebumps. He was so sweet and he actually pronounced my name perfectly. This is part one, he answered another question of mine. I loved how the phone rang and he waited then continued with his answer. Man that is politeness! Like "I'm talking to her na? So shut that phone!" He is my hero for every reason possible. I felt his love and respect for me through those two replies.

I had one or two shots where I could have met him and died happy. One was when he came to LA to showcase Ra.One in 2011 and another was when he was invited to Yale University. Both times were obviously not favorable for me. I hope I will have that one opportunity sometime soon although I prefer to have a coffee date with him. But for now, anything will do!

Every SRK fan would have a little place dedicated to him in their homes. Well I do too and it has grown a little as well. I have a complete movie collection of his but most of them are on VHS so I have been focusing on getting DVDs of whichever movies possible but I have set my own requirements so I can make my collection a bit nicer. I prefer to buy DVD sets; it needs to be a 2-3 DVD set. I have a good count so far. The other things I have are magazines, CDs, photos, and other small items. I hope to make it bigger and nicer.

Apart from all this, I believe that I experienced the most significant change in my life in the span of these three roller coaster years. Having had grown up experiencing almost no huge crisis which required my contribution in any way whatsoever, it shook me big time when I had to face a problem that I inadvertently became a part of. I was confused and angry because I missed being in control of my life. My small world had spread out beyond my grasp. Thankfully, I was not without guidance for long because I met some wonderful people who went on to become vital parts of my life. They are SRK fans. They are my friends. These people proved to be the greatest moral support I have had in my life so far. They love me a lot, get happy for me if I achieve something as if they have achieved it themselves. The greatest friends are those from whom you cultivate positive knowledge and skills. And that is exactly what I have done. These fantastic people are some of the best SRK fans there can ever be. So here is a shout out to those friends of mine, you know who you are and you know I love you very much.

Because of Shah Rukh, not only did I get some good and valuable friends, but also plenty of entertainment and also renewed values. I have learned from this unchanged man to be loyal not just to friends and family but also to my own principles. Some of my principles are derived from him. These include confidence, failure being part of the route to success. Shah Rukh is highly confident. And he never stopped even after meeting with failure throughout his career. So why should I not be confident about myself? Why should I make my failures as permanent as my time in this world? Shah Rukh is also a generous man and he is a prime example of how to give undivided love and attention to the ones you care for. It takes generosity to do so and I try to be as much generous as possible.

That's all I can recall during this beautiful journey. I hope to make more memories so I can keep sharing it with you all.

The Year So Far

Time flies, seasons change, months come and go and nothing so eventful happens. I am joking :D

Actually lots of thingies happened from January till now. The year kicked off with the release of HNY's poster. The team presented it in a really special way which allowed fans on twitter to get personalized signed posters. Virtually of course. I myself got like 6 of them. :P

Now with the awards...since we had Chennai Express release last year that created a huge uproar in India and abroad, there was no way we would not have had anything to cheer about this award season. Deepika won the maximum awards for us as she was epically fantastic in the film. Must say, the promotion up in the credits have done wonders for her...thank you Tata Tea! :P Another notable winner this year was RCE's VFX team who picked up numerous honors for their excellent work in Krrish 3. Keep up the great work RCE VFX, give your boss a run at getting awards!

Shah Rukh's monthly astrological articles kept on winning hearts until April. Sadly, we have not had any articles for neither May or June. :( Maybe it is because he has been busy with shooting and of course the tension of IPL...

Yes, throughout the whole year, he shot for HNY continuously AND met with one scary accident as well. A door fell on his shoulder and the man carried his arm in a sling. Due to this injury, he could not attend the Filmfare Award function. He was really missed, I did not even bother watching it. But that didn't deter him from shooting and other activities. Just like it is impossible to move a mountain, it is impossible to stop Shah Rukh from working. Datuk Shah Rukh went to Kuala Lumpur with other performers and gave Malaysia a memorable night, in spite of pain. A true showman he is.

Even the President of Mexico dropped by on the sets of HNY to meet Shah Rukh. Now see how awesome Mexico is doing at the FIFA World Cup? Okay off topic. Coming back to Shah Rukh, the South Korean government appointed him as their goodwill ambassador. Obviously, he is the first Indian to receive such honor from South Korea. More recently, he graced the cover of Forbes Middle East since they featured him as one of the top Indian leaders in the Arab World. From the far east to the middle of the world to north America...SRK proves to be a global King. There has never been a king like him and there shall be no other king like him either.

Now onto Indian Tension League we go...

IPL 2014 had begun with lots of expectations when KKR won their first game against MI in the presence of Shah Rukh. Then a Lynntastic win against RCB kept those expectations doubling and tripling. But defeats against KXIP, DD, CSK and RR (twice) raised a lot of questions and those expectations turned into frustration and anger in no time.

Fans questioned how potent was our captain Gambhir's leadership, who struggled to get runs on the board. He had to be dropped. Plenty of fans had never agreed with the players we picked up from the auction before the tournament commenced. Umesh Yadav is expensive. Robin Uthappa never put up good performances. Piyush Chawla is another expensive bowler. Blah blah blah. Biggest disappointment was Yusuf Pathan. Why on earth we had retained him when he is good for nothing? The whole KKR management should be changed, they are idiots. Tips and jokes spread faster than people could see and feel the despair on the team members' faces after that string of 4 losses.

But things had a historic turnaround. Teams forget how it feels to win again but KKR had forgotten how it feels to lose again when they ended up becoming champions for the second time in 3 seasons with NINE wins in a row. The captain was the same, Gautam Gambhir. Umesh Yadav kept playing. Robin Uthappa was also playing. So did Piyush Chawla and Yusuf Pathan. In fact each of these players, who were frequently under the attack of critics, had a good role in each of the 9 wins. Robin Uthappa went on to win the orange cap because he scored the most runs in the tournament. Piyush Chawla hit the winning runs for us in the final and ended the much hyped Glenn Maxwell's innings before he even begun on two occasions out of the 4 times we played against KXIP. Umesh Yadav helped ease our nerves in the semi-final and in the last game against SRH. Yusuf Pathan? His fiery innings in the same game as Umesh against SRH helped us knock CSK off their second place and take it over like a boss.

Even the useless men became much handier than those men we thought would see us through. Even if anyone wants to hate KKR, they just can't because purple is a pretty color. Okay besides that, it is because people cannot hate on sheer hard work and self belief. KKR happily proved that cricket is a team game and it does not fully thrive on one man's performance.

As far as for me, I did get upset by their times of struggle but not so much that it would have taken on the face of hatred. I have been calm throughout the tournament, much calmer than I have ever been! Distrust was on my lips but my heart bled purple for the team. It is a norm for any SRK fan to support whatever Shah Rukh does...if not what he supports himself (the man supported Ghana over USA...not me :@)

Now we welcome the upcoming few months with hopes of rewriting box office history with HNY. Should start saving money as I would like to break my personal record of watching an SRK film for 4 times in theater :P

Till next time...

Beyond the horizon of CDI & Swades

It takes a special occasion nowadays for me to write on this blog. I am very sorry for the lack of posts :(

Anyway, so the issue I want to address for the umpteenth time is how versatile Shah Rukh is. I made a promise to myself that if I read another comment saying his best was Swades or CDI, I'm gonna go punch someone. But since I have no one to punch right at this moment, I'll just deal with it in words.

People need to realize the versatility of a certain actor called Shah Rukh Khan. He has those Filmfare trophies for a valid reason. He has the fan following of billions, not because those people, including me are "dim wits" but because he is much worthy of having fans. The one movie which earned him the love from people outside India who are not Hindi-speaking is K3G, not CDI or Swades. They loved the variety of traits Rahul's character had; whether it's the lovable son, endearing lover, caring brother, moody husband, fun dad or overly protective brother-in-law.

You have to understand that movies are made so people can be away from the hectic lives so many of us have. And Shah Rukh just provides that much through his movies.

I will never understand why some people limit him to just CDI and Swades. Is it because those films are patriotic? Or he is not romancing? Oh you may have missed the cuteness of Mohan and Geeta in Swades! If he keeps doing a CDI or Swades so often, I am sure you would still call him repetitive. When he did a 100% zero romantic villain in Don 2 (if you consider Don and Ayesha in Zara Dil ROMANTIC, you are hopeless) people still did not like it. When he did a Rizwan Khan, nope...still romantic. Would you stop being stuck in the days of Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge? That was more than a decade ago!!

I never found anything special in Swades or CDI, except that Swades was really long and CDI was very fun. For Shah Rukh, I felt both movies were cakewalk, they were not challenging roles. So that suggests the idea that critics want simple stuff from Shah Rukh. No I don't want that. I like stuff in the lines of MNIK, KANK and JTHJ which required him to fulfill both mental and physical challenges.

Trust me when I say that there is no longer a lot of romance in his movies nowadays. We already get to see less of him unlike some other actors who have half a dozen releases per year. But honestly, there is a lack of romance in his recent movies, they are more focused on the complex problem the story sets out to solve. Love and romance are just mere props. I have been a fan of him for a long time now and I actually feel his last romantic movie was Paheli. But it all depends on the definition of love and romance people have. For me, romance has to do more with gazes, pain, wooing, etc. I am pretty old fashioned when it comes to love. Actually he has never done any hardcore romantic movie. His way of doing romance is actually very mild but touching.

I call Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi my favorite movie but you need to understand the intentions of the characters. Taani for example, has stopped believing in love after she loses her first love AND her father in such a short gap of time. But Surinder loves her, so in order to make her believe in love and that not everyone she loves, will leave her, he takes on a goofy character. Kind of childish but that is why I love it so much. It does take a lot to restore someone's faith in love again. And another thing is that I have met a lot of ignorant people in my life so far so the leap of faith that Taani does not recognize her own husband made perfect sense to me. It is not romantic in my opinion, it is just more sweet and basic to me. It is true both story-wise and how the actors portrayed the characters. Each time I watch it or recall it, I do get a different interpretation because the more life goes on for me, even the most commonly named ridiculous movies seem real to me. People are weird I tell you.

So I kindly request you to stop stereotyping Shah Rukh who is no longer doing romantic roles, actually playing roles that suit his age and is becoming menacingly hot with each passing day. Admit it, there is no other man who looks so hot at the age of 48. Some of you men AND women look 60 years old at his current age!!

The Creation of Playgirl

I just realized I never talked about my best creation yet. You see, when luck was drunk and hugging me back in 2011, I was able to get two, yes, TWO replies in one day on Twitter. At 3 pm my time...aka PST. I'll just discuss one particular reply here:

Now you must wonder why on earth would I even ask him such a shameless question. It is because, I, the owner of this diary on blogger, is a big prude. HAHAHAHA. No. I just love his body. Every inch of it. You just have no idea how often I stare at his photos to find moles and sexy points.

Apart from that, I had this naughty, far more shameless than me, bunch of girls as friends who pushed a particular set of neurons in my brain to even think of Playgirl. You heard about Playboy, so Playgirl is my creation, solely to admire the body of Shah Rukh Khan. I don't need any sexual bunny as symbol because Shah Rukh is the symbol of hotness anyway.

So after that tweet, that same bunch of girls and I took up the responsibility to actually make it a reality. But my lack of attention and enthusiasm halted the process. I just didn't know how to create it. How it would be perceived by fans. I needed a drive but there wasn't sufficient information. But let me share with you, the outline and samples of covers and page my friends made

It would be selfish of me to say that these samples sucked. It is actually because of this that I could take my idea forward an year later. But what must have triggered me to take up the responsibility on my shoulder to make it? Here

I was randomly checking out magazine cover generators and I loved this. It also reminded me of how I never made the damn magazine I asked Shah Rukh about. So this crappy cover led me to start making the real deal. It took me weeks which included plenty of palpitations, butterflies racing in my tummy, drooling and I believe I drank buckets of water since I'd get thirsty often. I just can't tell you how ridiculously handsome this man is. I kept my writing bits PG-13 because my mind is PG-13 :(

I would like to thank my angel in virtual disguise who helped me every step of the way, whether it was to provide me with lots of content for the magazine or just hear me out about how deeply I was falling in love with Shah Rukh. It is Luna (ji), the engine of Playgirl. Thank you Luna ji, thank you very much.

Created an year back, here is Playgirl

This is the first edition. I promised myself there would be a second edition because I have lots still to share. But good things take time..

Best of SRK Dialogues: I love you Naina - Kal Ho Na Ho

Next is this all time favorite speech of not just me, but maybe a billion others, "I love you Naina" from Kal Ho Na Ho. In this scene, in order to appease a miffed Naina from completely going away; Aman snatches Rohit's diary from his pocket, in expectations of finding Rohit's expression of love in the diary. But Rohit had only written "I love you Naina I love you very very much." Because he's an effing idiot. Anyway, so Aman starts talking about what actually he himself feels for Naina...

-Naina kaash main tumhe bataa sakta, main tumhe kitna chahta hoon
Naina, I wish I could tell you how much I love you

-I love you, I love you very very much Naina

-Main aankhen band karta hoon toh tumhe dekhta hoon
When I close my eyes, I see you

-Aankhen kholta hoon toh tumhe dekhna chahta hoon
When I open my eyes, I want to see you

-Tum paas nahi hoti, toh tumhe charo taraf mehsoos karta hoon
When you're not around, I feel your presence all around me.

-Har pal har ghadi har waqt mere naina mere Naina ko dhoondte hain
Every second, every moment, every hour, my eyes search for my Naina

-Isse pyar kaho paagalpan ya mere dil ki dhadkan
Call this love, craziness or the beat of my heart

-Mere liye ek hi baat hain
It is all same for me.

-Pyar toh bahut log karte hain
Many people fall in love

-Lekin mere jaisa pyar koi nahi kar sakta
But no one can love like me

-Kyon ki kisi ke paas tum jo nahi ho
Because everyone doesn't have someone like you

-Main tumhe bhool nahi sakta Naina
I can't forget you Naina

-Main tumhe bhoolna hi nahi chahta
I don't want to forget you

-Tum meri ho, main tumhe zindagi bhar pyar karunga
You are mine, I will love you life long

-Marte dam tak pyar karunga aur uske baad bhi
I will love you till death...and beyond.
